Tejano music fans have reason to celebrate as La Fiebre, one of the genre’s most iconic bands, has signed a new deal with Freddie Records and M Music & Entertainment Group (MMEG). The legendary record label shared the exciting news on social media, announcing that La Fiebre is nearing completion of its highly anticipated new album.

“M Music & Entertainment Group and Freddie Records are proud to announce that ‘The Pride of Pasadena,’ LA FIEBRE, has signed a new deal with the label and is nearing completion of its long-awaited new album,” the statement read. “MMEG and Freddie Records are honored to continue working with this legendary band and look forward to celebrating the group’s 40th Anniversary in 2025. We’re excited to be bringing Fiebre fans lots of new music, new videos, and much more content. Stay tuned for more Fiebre news coming very soon.”

A Legacy of Tejano Excellence

Formed in Pasadena, Texas, in the mid-1980s, La Fiebre quickly rose to prominence with their unique fusion of Tejano, rock, and big band influences. The band’s electrifying performances, powerful brass arrangements, and heartfelt lyrics made them a fan favorite, earning them a place among Tejano’s elite acts. With hits like Borracho de Besos, El Amor Se Acaba, and Eres Mi Primer Amor, La Fiebre has maintained a devoted following for nearly four decades. Their contributions to Tejano music have earned them numerous awards and accolades, solidifying their status as pioneers of the genre.

La Fiebre Fest: A 40th Anniversary Celebration

In honor of their milestone 40th anniversary, La Fiebre will host La Fiebre Fest at the Pasadena Convention Center and Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 24, 2025. The special Memorial Day Weekend celebration will kick off on Friday, May 23, with a jam session where aspiring bands can showcase their talents.

The festival will feature an incredible lineup, including Lucky Joe, Mike Gonzalez & The Iconiczz, Lazaro Perez, Conjunto Cats, Avizo featuring Chris Q, Ram Herrera, Roel Martinez, Emilio Guerrero, Madison Pulido, and Bianca Ruiz. One of the night’s biggest highlights will be a mano-a-mano-a-mano battle between three conjunto powerhouses: Conjunto Cats, Los Arcos Hermanos Peña, and Lazaro Perez.

Of course, the night’s main event will be La Fiebre taking the stage, delivering their signature high-energy performance and timeless hits that have defined their legacy.
