SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS — PACfest 2025 is set to be a landmark event, and now it’s even bigger! Michael Salgado, the legendary Norteño and Tejano artist, has been added as a co-headliner for the highly anticipated Fiesta celebration at Palo Alto College in San Antonio on Thursday, May 1, 2025. Joining previously announced headliner Alicia Villarreal, Salgado will take the stage for an unforgettable night of music, as he celebrates 30 years in the music industry during his 30th-anniversary tour.

“We’re so honored to bring back a PACfest favorite like Michael Salgado,” said Robert Garza, president of Palo Alto College. “After such a hugely successful performance in 2023, we jumped at the opportunity to have such a beloved Norteño legend on our stage once again.”

Salgado, known for his masterful accordion skills and high-energy live shows, is no stranger to PACfest audiences. A two-time Latin Grammy Award winner, Salgado has earned a devoted following for his contributions to Tejano and Norteño music, with multiple Latin Billboard Awards and Premio Lo Nuestro nominations under his belt. PACfest 2025 will be an exciting opportunity for fans to experience the magic of Salgado’s performance once again.

The event’s other headliner, Alicia Villarreal, will make history as the first female artist to headline PACfest’s main stage. Her powerful voice and unforgettable hits are sure to captivate the crowd, making this Fiesta celebration even more special.

PACfest is scheduled from noon to 11:30 p.m., offering attendees a full day of music, food, and family fun. As one of the largest Fiesta events south of Highway 90, PACfest has been a beloved tradition for the San Antonio community since becoming an official Fiesta event in 2003. With its roots dating back to the early 1990s, the festival continues to grow, serving as a significant fundraising opportunity for Palo Alto College’s student organizations and clubs.

Festival-goers can expect a wide variety of delicious Fiesta foods, such as chicken on a stick, turkey legs, and corn in a cup, all provided by student-run booths. In addition to the food and drinks, attendees will enjoy live performances, children’s activities, and a Social Media Alley. The event is family-friendly, with plenty of opportunities for everyone to join in the Fiesta fun.

Salgado’s addition to the PACfest stage comes after a successful performance in 2023, and his return will undoubtedly be a highlight of the event. With his 30th-anniversary tour, the chance to see this icon live in San Antonio is one that fans won’t want to miss.

PACfest 2025 will continue to serve as the #1 student organization fundraiser at Palo Alto College, helping students fund events and initiatives that benefit both the college and the broader community. Attendees can expect to enjoy a day packed with live music, exciting activities, and, of course, the amazing food that PACfest is known for.

Mark your calendars for PACfest 2025 on May 1, and don’t miss out on this incredible celebration of Tejano and Norteño music, community spirit, and Fiesta tradition. Tickets are just $10 and can be purchased at the door on the day of the event.
