Luna reflected on the recognition and his career with Tejano Nation. “You know, it’s not work when you love what you do,” he shared. “I’ve taken it to heart. La Onda Tejana runs through my blood, that’s what I do. It’s not my only livelihood but it’s the greatest thing that I’ve ever done.”
A private star-studded ceremony is scheduled for May to celebrate Luna’s recognition by Gov. Abbott.
As one of the most influential figures in the Tejano music scene, Luna continues to be a driving force behind the genre’s growth and success. His next major event, La Fiebre Fest, will honor La Fiebre, one of Tejano music’s most iconic bands, as they celebrate 40 years in the industry. The event will take place on May 24, 2025, at the Pasadena Convention Center and Fairgrounds, with many more stars set to join in the celebration.
