Gabby Jimenez, an emerging artist in the Tejano music scene, has just premiered the official music video for her debut single, “Que Cosas.” This heartfelt track, co-written by Gabby and her mother, resonates with anyone who has experienced unrequited love. The song narrates the journey of someone who, after being ignored by their crush, decides to move on with their life. Just as they find peace, the once indifferent person returns, seeking a second chance, only to find that the protagonist has moved on for good.
Produced by the talented David L. Garza, “Que Cosas” showcases Gabby’s unique voice and emotional depth. The music video, directed by Julia and Michael Lopez, beautifully captures the song’s essence, bringing the story to life with stunning visuals.
Gabby Jimenez, born in San Antonio, Texas, and raised near the small town of Charlotte, Texas, discovered her passion for music at the age of four, inspired by the band RBD. Influences from Tejano legends like Ramon Ayala, Elida Reyna, and Selena have shaped her musical journey. Despite focusing on her education, Gabby never let go of her musical dreams. She taught herself to play the drums and performed as the drummer for her sister’s band, Bree Jimenez.
Now, Gabby is stepping into the spotlight with her original music. “Que Cosas” marks the beginning of her promising career, and she is already working on more songs for a full album. Fans can look forward to more heartfelt and relatable music from this talented artist.
