Ruben Ramos to Replace Little Joe Y La Familia at Z Venue Grand Opening

In an unexpected turn of events, Tejano music legend Little Joe Y La Familia has had to cancel their much-anticipated performance at the grand opening of Z Venue in Victoria, Texas, scheduled for Saturday, August 31. The cancellation comes as Little Joe continues to recover from an emergency heart procedure he underwent on August 22, where a stent was successfully implanted. According to a statement shared on Little Joe Y La Familia’s social media, “Joe will be officially cancelling his Saturday August 31 performance at the Z Venue in Victoria, TX to continue to recover from his procedure.” His doctors have advised a two-week rest period to ensure a full recovery.

In light of this, another Tejano music icon, Ruben Ramos and the Mexican Revolution, will be stepping in to fill the slot. Ruben Ramos expressed his excitement in a statement, saying, “It’s been a little while since we have been to Victoria, but we want all our friends to come out and see us!”

Z Venue, described as a “blank space for any occasion,” located at 2804 N. Laurent in Victoria, Texas, also shared their sentiments about the change. “BITTER SWEET! We were so excited to have Little Joe Y La Familia back in Victoria unfortunately he’s not able to make it, BUT… Little Joe got us in contact with Ruben Ramos and The Mexican Revolution, and they will be breaking in Z Venue! The show must go on! We can’t wait to welcome y’all, anyone wanting a refund will get one.”

Advanced tickets are $25 cash and will be available only at Mr Gatti’s in Victoria. A very limited amount of VIP tables located stage side are available for $250 and comes with eight seats. If any tickets are available on the day of the show. The price will be $30 at the door. Doors open at 7:30 p.m.
