‘Diosas En Texas’: Musical Project is a Celebration of Female Tejano Talent

Diosas En Texas” (Goddesses in Texas), a new EP produced by Latin GRAMMY-winning producer, Carlos H. Alvarez, is a unique musical project that celebrates and highlights the incredible female talent in music, blending the best of Texan and Mexican traditions. This five-song EP promises to captivate your senses and elevate your spirit and pride in your culture.

The EP features outstanding artists such as Las FenixMonica SaldivarZelenBeatriz Gonzalez, and Jazaby. These artists, with careers spanning genres from Mariachi to Tejano, Pop, and Alternative Pop, bring a fresh and vibrant sound to the Tejano music scene.

Each track in the EP is an ode to the cultural musical legacy of Texas. With vibrant Tejano cumbias and unique interpretations of classics like “Como Fui A Enamorarme De Ti” (How Did I Fall in Love with You) by Beatriz Gonzalez (a cover of Los Bukis) and the focus track, “Ya Lo Sé Que Tú Te Vas” (I Already Know You’re Leaving) (a cover of Juan Gabriel) performed by Monica Saldivar, these talented artists reinvent the sound of the region with their unparalleled voice and passion.

The EP also includes “Por Amarte Así” (For Loving You Like This) (a cover of Cristian Castro) performed by Zelen, “Lo Aprendí De Ti” (I Learned It From You) (a cover of HA-ASH) with Jazaby, and Las Fénix’s recent hit “No Regreses” (Don’t Come Back). These tracks showcase the talent and versatility that these Texas Goddesses bring to the music scene.

With the participation of Dany Zapata, Jorge “El Güero” Hernández, and Vanessa Ayala, this album, part of the Mujeres Azteca initiative by Azteca Records, promises to become a timeless gem, honoring the legacy of female music on both sides of the border.
