A.B. Quintanilla III has cancelled his second consecutive performance since his on-stage rant at a San Antonio concert. The Grammy-winning artist will no longer be part of the annual Memorial Weekend Bash in Victoria, Texas, on Sunday, according to a statement from event organizer Salazar Promotions.

Frank Salazar of Salazar Promotions expressed regret in a video statement on social media, saying, “I regret to announce A.B. Quintanilla and the Kumbia Allstarz will not be performing this weekend due to unforeseen circumstances out of our control. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.”

This is the second performance cancelled by Quintanilla since he expressed frustration with non-participating fans during the Tejano Explosion concert in San Antonio on April 27. He also cancelled a performance at Kumbia Fest 2024 in The Colony, Texas on May 16.

Quintanilla had apologized for his actions at the San Antonio concert in a now-deleted social media post that explained he was not taking prescribed medication for mental health struggles because of biopsy for possible cancer. Despite his absence, the Memorial Weekend Bash, scheduled for Sunday, May 26, will continue as planned with headliners La MafiaElida ReynaJennifer Pena, and more.
