San Antonio, Texas – The annual Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair is in full swing, but this year, Mother Nature had a surprise in store. After Friday night’s rainstorms, the Civic Park Stage had to be canceled for the rest of the weekend. However, the show must go on, and the other three stages at Hemisfair in downtown San Antonio are still rocking with Tejano rhythms.

Organizers made an announcement via social media on Saturday morning. “2024 Tejano Music Awards FanFair has not been cancelled. With the Exception of Civic Park Stage that took a direct hit and will be closed the rest of the weekend. Schedule is subject to change today,” said the statement.

Hemisfair, the new venue for this year’s TMA Fan Fair, provides a picturesque backdrop for the celebration. With stages set up in various locations, attendees can enjoy performances by top Tejano and Conjunto bands from across the USA. The Magik Theatre, Instituto Cultural de México, and a large stage near the Tower of the Americas are all part of the action.

Despite the rain, the Tejano community remains undeterred. The other three stages are buzzing with energy, showcasing the talent and passion of Tejano artists. From noon until 11:30 PM each day, fans can groove to the beat, sing along, and dance to their favorite tunes.

For those attending, it’s not just about the music. The Tejano Music Awards Fan Fair is an opportunity to learn about the history, culture, and rhythms of Tejano music. It’s a family-friendly event that brings generations together to celebrate their heritage.
