Dallas-based and multi-award winning singer Monica Saldivar launches her brand new single titled “Para Qué” to all digital music platforms today (Feb. 2).
“Para Qué” is a romantic cumbia with groovy power vocals that talks about the pain of falling in love with someone who has now moved on so quickly. The song was produced by Grammy and Latin Grammy winners Jorge “El Güero” Hernandez and Carlos H. Alvarez and written by Victor Badillo (Las Fenix, Flor De Toloache, La Alianza Norteña, Los Pescadores Del Rio Conchos).
Monica commented, “’Para Qué’ definitely holds a lot of meaning to me when dealing with heartbreak, and I am extremely proud of this song in that regard. My hope is to always make music my listeners can connect to, and I believe this song will do that.”
Monica Saldivar is a rising star in the Latin music scene, with a versatile voice that can sing different genres such as Tejano, Cumbia, Pop, and more. She has won several awards and recognitions, such as the Tejano Music Awards for Best New Female Artist in 2020, the Tejano Idol competition in 2015, and the My Tejano Awards for Top New Female Artist in 2019.
