The conjunto band Ernest G & The Satin Drops have just dropped their second single “Quien Te Hizo Llorar” from their debut album. The song is a catchy and upbeat tune that showcases the band’s traditional style and musical talent.
The band’s leader, Ernest Gonzales, says that the song is a contrast to their first single. “We wanted to show the diversity of music on our album with this second release. This song is very down home straight forward conjunto. Which differs from the Tejano brass type production on out first release,” he says.
The song was written by Jesse Favela and features the legendary Joel Guzman on accordion. Guzman also co-produced the song with Ernie Gonzales. The song was recorded between Reel Tracks Studio in San Antonio, Texas, and the legendary Blackbird Studio in Nashville, Tennessee.
The song is part of the band’s debut album, which is under the Ro’ Records label and is available on all digital platforms. The album showcases the band’s unique blend of conjunto and Tejano influences.
Ernest G & The Satin Drops are a band that celebrates their roots and culture through their music. They hope to reach new audiences and fans with their fresh and original sound.
