Monica Saldivar, the award-winning Tejano singer, released her new single “En Realidad” on Friday, August 25. The song is produced by Bobby Pulido, the Latin Grammy winner and Tejano icon.
Saldivar announced the news on her Instagram account on August 21, and shared a teaser of the song. She wrote: “I’m so excited to announce that this Friday my new single, ‘En Realidad’ comes out on all digital platforms, and also that this track is produced by the incredible Bobby Pulido.”
“En Realidad” is a cumbia that showcases Saldivar’s powerful vocals and Pulido’s production skills. The song is expected to be a hit for the rising Tejano star, who has already won several accolades for her previous albums. Saldivar released her full-length sophomore album Soy Mas Fuerte (Deluxe Edition) in May 2022. It followed her Soy Mas Fuerte EP released in June 2021 and her self-titled debut album in 2019. She was named Top New Female Artist at the My Tejano Awards in 2019 and Best New Female Artist of the Year at the 40th Tejano Music Awards in 2020.
Saldivar and Pulido have been collaborating in the studio since June when they posted photos of their session on social media. Pulido is a Tejano legend who has won a Latin Grammy Award for his album Para Que Baile En Mi Pueblo. He has also produced songs for other artists, such as South TX Homies.
