There’s been a recent disturbing trend as concert-goers have hurled objects at performers on stage, most notably pop star Bebe Rexha needing medical attention after a cellphone hit her in the head, while rapper Drake was hit in the wrist with a cellphone. Tejano superstar Bobby Pulido recalled when an object hit him a few years ago during an interview with The Bo Corona Show.
The Latin Grammy winner revealed a couple of incidents during his performances over the years with radio host Bo Corona on Tuesday (July 12).
“I got hit with a shot glass leaving a palenque in Mexico City,” said Pulido. “For people that don’t know, a palenque is like a little arena, so they’re up high. I saw it coming out of the air, right. I just saw something and it was so quick, it hit me right above the temple of my eye. I was pretty angry because if it was a little lower it would have hit me in the eye. I had some pretty bad, tough security guards and I was so angry, man. I told them to go find him.”
Other fans pointed out the man who threw the shot glass at Pulido. The singer was able to confront him. “Let’s just say I got back at him,” said Pulido.
The crooner mentioned another incident when a beer can was thrown towards the stage and narrowly missed him, but did hit the drummer performing behind him.
Bobby Pulido revealed more during the interview, including details on the last concert he missed and he promoted his upcoming performance at Rise Rooftop in Houston, Texas on Friday night (July 14).
