SAN ANTONIO, TX — The 4th annual Guadalupe Production Awards scheduled for tonight in San Antonio has been postponed due to inclement weather across south Texas on Saturday.
Organizers announced the postponement via social media, “Due to poor weather conditions, we’ve had to reschedule the 4th Annual Guadalupe Production Awards for a later date. We do apologize for the inconvenience, but for the safety of many coming in from out of town, we felt that it was in our best interest to postpone and move it to a later time.”
The new date is Saturday, December 3, 2022. More information about the rescheduled date will be announced soon.
According to Accuweather, the weather forecast for San Antonio and south Texas today includes rain and temperatures in the 40s with colder temps expected for tonight. The 4th annual Guadalupe Production Awards was scheduled for tonight at The Backyard at B&N Sports Bar, an outdoor venue.
The event was expected to have live performances from Madison Pulido, Grupo Imagen, Tristan Ramos, Tejano Highway 281, and Da Krazy Pimpz. Joe Lopez, Jay Perez, and Ram Herrera received the most nominations for the 4th annual Guadalupe Production Awards, announced by the Guadalupe Productions Awards Committee in October.
The Guadalupe Awards have recognized the best in Tejano each year since 2019 including outstanding performers, songs, productions, and more categories. The event was created by veteran Tejano events promoter Andrew Belmarez and is dedicated to the life and heritage of his late mother Guadalupe M. Belmarez, who passed away in 2015.
