The latest hit single from Genyva is very special to the Rio Grande Valley singer. “Entre Tus Brazos” was written when she was just 17 years old about her relationship with her boyfriend, who is now her husband of 28 years. The official music video for the love song was released on Oct. 7.

“I just wanted to inspire relationships to just fall in love again and for the new relationships to just pay attention to the promises that you make to one another when you’re starting a relationship to see them through,” said Genyva about her current hit single. “Because like the song says I don’t want to be just your friend I want to be your confidant. So just let me in your heart and I promise to love you and honor you and be there with you through the good and the bad. That was my promise to him and I think I’ve done pretty good at keeping it, so I’m pretty excited to share it with the world.”

The visual was filmed and directed by Baldemar Garcia and features Genyva’s family, including her husband and daughters.

Genyva, who was nominated for Best New Female Artist at the Tejano Music Awards in 2009, plans to release two projects, her own album and an EP featuring Tejanas Unidas En Cristo, a collaboration that features 25 powerful female vocalists from Tejano icons to newcomers.

“What I consider and I’m sure many would agree, the collaboration of the year,” stated Genyva. “When have you seen in Tejano history 25 women unite one song to bring hope and inspiration to the world? We have two albums in the work right now, one will be released in the fall and there’s just so much going on with Genyva and I’m excited for what’s in store for the future.”

Genyva was recently added as a backup vocalist for Joe Lopez Y Grupo Mazz and is featured on the new studio album Love From The Heart, just adding to her already busy schedule.
