Tejano Music Awards TV expands to four more Texas markets

Tejano Music Awards TV, the half-hour television program focused on the next generation of Tejano music produced by the Texas Talent Musicians Association (TTMA), has expanded to more Texas television markets.

TMA TV premiered in March on CW35 and Fox 29 in San Antonio featuring interviews and performances from Latin GRAMMY winners Solido and emerging cumbia band Los Lost Boyz.

TMA TV executive producer and host Elicio Leal commented, “We and this show are going to launch new careers. We’re going to launch Tejano stars and that’s what we’re here for. The number one goal is to grow the genre, start planting the seed with the youth and introduce new music.”

The show quickly expanded to four more Texas markets in May including Corpus Christi on Fox 38, Austin on CW 54, Laredo on Telemundo and the CW affiliates, and the Rio Grande Valley on CBS 4. More Texas affiliates are expected to be added later this month.
