The band is made up of localsJerry Fuentes,DiegoandEmilio Navaira IV(sons of the late, great Tejano singerEmilio Navaira III) andDerek James, who got to Texas as soon as he could.
With a sound reminiscent ofThe Texas Tornadoes, this central Texas blend of country, Tex-Mex, and rock ‘n’ roll has captured the ears of music lovers around the world. Appearances on national TV shows, work with major labels, touring and recording with Sting, along with some recent releases has made this Texas band a force to be reckoned with.
The Last Bandoleros return to San Antonio on Thursday, Nov. 11 as the headlining performer for SA Veterans Day at Hemisfair. This free concert is San Antonio’s official Veterans Day celebration and a fundraiser for DAV (Disabled American Veterans). The concert kicks off at 4 p.m. with US Army Band “35 to Nowhere,” followed byThe Spazmatics. The Last Bandoleros take the stage at 7:30 p.m. and will perform a 90-minute set. This show is free and open to the public.
