Laredo Taco Companyreleased its newest episode featuring the city of Brownsville and local Tejano singerVeronique Medranoas part of its newly released video series “Made Right Here Road Trip”, with hostMando RayofromUnited Tacos of America.
Taco journalist, author, and Texas native, Rayo, along with Medrano, Tejano musician and Brownsville native, take viewers on a visit to La Pulga and taste-test their personal Laredo Taco Company favorites in the fourth episode of the series. Medrano serves as a local city advocate in the Brownsville episode. Together, they discuss the Hispanic culture influences and heritage, including a tortilla making session with Medrano’s abuela, la Reina de tortillas.
The episode features an original song, “Aguas Frescas”, written by Brownsville residentMoises Mata, performed by Medrano.
“It is a privilege to represent the Rio Grande Valley in the ‘Made Right Here Road Trip’ series,” stated Medrano. “I was born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. I am from Brownsville and have lived throughout the valley since my college days. I am honored to showcase the beauty and authenticity of Brownsville. I am proud of the Rio Grande Valley, and I like reminding people that the Q-Taco came from here!”
Laredo Taco Company has released a new episode every week on “Taco Tuesday” since the beginning of the month and will continue into November. Cities featured include Laredo, Corpus Christi, Houston, Brownsville, San Antonio, and Dallas.

Medrano will also be performing on Oct. 30, at the 19th Annual Día de los Muertos: Recuerdos y Ofrendas event from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Museum of South Texas in Edinburg.
