Austin, TX — “Acercate” is the new cumbia from rising starMia Garcia. The teen musician from Austin, who made international headlines as the youngest person to ever win a Tejano Music Award, has continued to grow and make music during the pandemic with her first single since August of last year and has several exciting projects on the horizon.

“Acercate” is an original song written byJavier José Carmona Oroneland arranged and produced byAIM Recordswith cumbia inspiration fromGabriel Zavala. The cumbia is a high-energy composition perfectly complimenting Mia’s ever-maturing vocals, featuring horns and a sprinkling of accordion from Grammy Award winnerSunny Sauceda

Recently, Mia was invited to work with the legendaryAbraham Quintanilla. On a recent trip to Corpus Christi, Mia had the privilege to record and sit down with Abraham andBrian “Red” Mooreto talk about music and everythingSelena

Personally, Mia is exploring exciting educational opportunities with a full-ride scholarship to the No. 1 private high school in Texas, after being accepted into four schools of her choice. She also recently trained with Olympians as well from the Trampoline team for Tokyo 2020 to further her athletic career in Tumbling and Trampoline.

“Acercate” will be available on all digital platforms on August 20, 2021, and will be included in an upcoming EP release.
