More voices added to Tejanas Unidas En Cristo collaboration

More voices have been added to a historic female collaboration for a beautiful Christian song of inspiration and hope featuring 25 amazing singers.Tejanas Unidas En Cristois the idea of Rio Grande Valley singerGenyvaSalas Monjaras, who is planning a full Christian album, and the lead single will be a wonderful combination of female voices of the Tejano music industry.

“The song is going to be able to bring unity amongst women en la Onda Tejana,” Genyva tells Tejano Nation. “Like an inspirational, motivational song, not only for women but just to show unity amongst Tejanas.”

Recording sessions for “Aqui Estas,” a Spanish version of Christian worship song “Way Maker,” began on May 8 at the famed Legends Sound Studios at Freddie Records in Corpus Christi, Texas. Singers that recorded part of the project that day with Genyva include Shelly LaresPatsy TorresMonica SaldivarMagali DelarosaSavannah Votion,Krystalina J. A second studio session took place over Memorial Day weekend featuring additional voices includingAnjelique,Di Marie,Rebecca Valadez,Aisha,Annika Garza,Cortney,Machy De La Garza,Perla Quintanilla,Christine PhillipandStephanie Bergara.

“I feel like God put this vision in my heart and every single girl that he put in my mind has agreed to be on the track and it’s a beautiful song of hope and in a time like this, with the pandemic, I think it’s going to be able to touch the lives of many people because people’s hearts are in need of inspiration and hope,” said Genyva.

The Tejanas Unidas En Cristo collaboration is set for release later this summer along with a music video that will be filmed in July. A documentary of the making of the collaboration will also be produced by podcast and entertainment correspondentMingo Mariano.
