Netflix releases official trailer for ‘Selena: The Series’

Netflix released the official trailer for the highly-anticipated series about late bicultural iconSelenaon Monday.

The trailer forSelena: The Series features formerWalking DeadactressChristian Serratosportraying Selena with scenes from the first installment of the two-part series set to debut on Dec. 4. The trailer also gives a look at nine-year-old rising starMadison Taylor Baezas a young Selena in the biographical drama.

The trailer was shared by the Selena official Facebook page on Monday with the caption, “Before she became the Queen of Tejano Music, Selena Quintanilla was a young girl from Texas with big dreams and an even bigger voice. Selena: The Series explores her journey from singing small gigs to becoming the most successful female Latin artist of all time — and the years of hard work and sacrifice the Quintanilla family navigated together.”

Selena: The Seriesis a coming-of-age story following Selena as her dreams come true and all the heart-wrenching and life-changing choices she and her family have to make as they navigate success, family, and music.

The series comes fromCampanario Entertainmentand is executive produced byJaime Dávila,Rico Martinez,Suzette Quintanilla,Simran A. Singh, andMoisés Zamora.
