Bobby Pulidoshared news to fans via social media on Tuesday that the star will cancel upcoming shows to have surgery to help correct a recurring health problem.
Pulido washospitalized earlier this monthfor bronchitis, according to a video he posted to his Facebook page.
“I was hospitalized suddenly, I had bronchitis,” Pulido said. “I became very sick. I had a fever for almost a month.”

The 46-year-old singer said he had surgery 12 years ago to help with reflux, “Reflux is the worst for a singer, it burns the vocal cords and causes many problems.”
He added that he will need surgery again that will require him to be out for 14 days, forcing him to cancel upcoming shows. But he plans to work this weekend even though he’s not quite at 100%.
“I want to apologize to the people of Aransas Pass, Round Rock, Dallas, and any other gigs I that I might have to cancel,” he said. “It’s a health issue. It’s very important for me to get this taken care of so I can have a long and fruitful career.”
Pulido thanked fans for understanding and addressed false news reports that he was in intensive care and was going to die.
