J.R. Gomez Y Los Conjunto Bandits have released the second single, “La Reina de Mis Amores,” from the band’s upcoming debut album.

This new single was written by Gomez and his father, Lee Gomez.

“Me and my dad, we’ve been wanting to work together for a longtime, he’s an awesome singer, he writes songs now,” Gomez said in a recent interview with Anita Rodriguez of Tejano To The Bone.

The veteran musician and singer has been a part of the Tejano music industry for many years, including stints with Jimmy Gonzalez Y Grupo Mazz, Kumbia All-Starz, Jay Perez, Xelencia, just to name a few. He is always working on new projects.

“I’m in the studio all the time,” he said. “I’m doing studio work with Mario Ortiz, back up vocals for a lot of new artists and also producing.”

He’s ready to release his debut album with Los Conjunto Bandits.

“We’re concentrating on the album,” he said. “It’s coming out in a couple of weeks, be on the lookout for that, it’s called Cervezas Y Gritos. It’s going to be awesome!”

Gomez added that he was excited to work with his father on another collaboration for the album.

“It’s a cumbia that he wrote,” he said. “It’s been an awesome moment doing that with my dad. It’s great, I love it!”
