Louie Marinez is set to release his sophomore album and the Arizona-based singer gave Tejano Nation exclusive details.

Marinez spoke to Tejano Nation contributor Fanny Gurl about his new album, teaming up once again with Grammy Award winning producer and singer Rick Fuentes, his upcoming performance at the 2018 Tejano Music National Convention in Las Vegas and much more.

The new album will be the follow-up to his debut album, Sin Fronteras, released in 2014. It will be a throwback to the classic Tejano brass sound of Latin Breed and Little Joe.

“We implemented, of course, the horns, the accordion, but his time we went ahead and focused a lot of three-part harmonies,” said Marinez. “We came out with a good concept this time. I feel that this CD is better than the first CD…I think we took it to a different level.”

Marinez will release the new album during his performance at the Shelly’s All-American Showcase, the two-day music showcase hosted by Tejano icon Shelly Lares, at the Tejano Music National Convention on August 24 at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
