Tejano music legend Jimmy Gonzalez posted a video message via Facebook on Thursday thanking fans and supporters for prayers while the Grammy winner was recuperating from the flu.
Gonzalez was rushed to the hospital before a performance in Mission, Texas on February 3 after he complained of shortness of breath and dehydration. He was diagnosed with the flu and released from the hospital the following morning for rest and recuperation at home.
The singer took to the official Jimmy Gonzalez Y Grupo Mazz Facebook page to update fans that he was ready to get back on the road beginning this weekend.
“Thank you for all your prayers,” he captioned the video. “I’m ready for the Tejano Love Jam, Anniversary, or whatever you want it to be with your loved one! Tomorrow night in San Antonio at the San Antonio Events Center. See you all there!”
Jimmy Gonzalez Y Grupo Mazz are scheduled for the Tejano Love Jam at the San Antonio Event Center on Feb. 9 with La Mafia, Elida Reyna Y Avante and Jay Perez.
