The recognition was awarded to the 14-year-old singer for her contributions to community service.
“I’m so overjoyed,” Isabel Marie posted on her official Facebook page. “Thank you to the National Youth Board of LULAC for honoring me with the title LULAC Youth NATIONAL SWEETHEART. It’s an honor to receive this award on behalf of all my fans who make me want to make a difference…I feel truly blessed to be among these wonderful individuals who work so hard to make a difference in our communities. Congratulations to all the awardees tonight at the Youth and Young Adults Banquet.”
Isabel Marie was one of many young individuals who were honored for community service and received a new Dell laptop along with an award.
The singer, who just released her sophomore album Sígueme last month, was also honored in May by the Texas Legislature for her contributions to music, community service and leadership in the Latino community.
