Datebook for today

149 years ago . . . In 1868, TERRIBLE PRESIDENT ANDREW JOHNSON, the first president to be IMPEACHED, beat the rap when the Senate came one vote short of kicking him out of office. BILL CLINTON is the only other president who ever faced impeachment charges. (Will Donald Trump be the third?) 121 years ago . . .

In 1978, the FIRST LEGAL CASINO in the eastern U.S. opened in ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey. It was the Resorts Atlantic City, which still stands today.

24 years ago . . . In 1993, Cleveland's CARLOS MARTINEZ hit a fly ball that bounced off outfielder JOSE CANSECO'S head and over the right field wall for a home run.

23 years ago . . . In 1994, BOB BARKER admitted to caressing the breasts of "Price Is Right" model DIANE PARKINSON but denied her charge that he sexually harassed her.

2 23 years ago . . . In 1994, MICHAEL JACKSON and LISA MARIE PRESLEY got MARRIED. They decided to get divorced 20 months later, citing irreconcilable differences.

In 2009, MIKE TYSON'S 4-year-old daughter Exodus died . . . a day after she accidentally hung herself on a treadmill at the family home. (She had somehow got tangled up in a power cord that was hanging from the treadmill, while her mother was cleaning in another room.)

Happy Birthday to:

Jack McBrayer is 44. He plays the same character in everything . . . but man, does he have that character down. He was Kenneth the Page on "30 Rock" and also had supporting roles in "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" and "Talladega Nights"

TODD BRIDGES is 52. "Diff'rent Strokes" superstar. If your kid says "I wanna be an actor," before you take him out to Hollywood, read up on Todd Bridges. Although to Todd's credit, it looks like he's got a damn good shot at outliving the rest of the "Diff'rent Strokes" cast.

Adam Carolla is 53. "I had a buddy who performed with his mouth on a hooker. That's like getting a rental car detailed."

Eric Bischoff is 62. The only man ever to scare Vince McMahon. In the late '90s he took over World Championship Wrestling and made it more successful than Vince's WWF . . . at least, for a few years, until Vince put WCW out of business.

Lee Meriwether is 82. One of the three Catwomen to Adam West's "Batman". She was only in the MOVIE version of the old-school TV show. On the actual series, it was Julie Newmar and my first Nubian crush, Eartha Kitt.
