HOUSTON, TX — Houston’s newest Tejano radio station, Puro Tejano 106.1 FM, has made history with the debut of “The Double Js Morning Show,” the first all-female hosted morning show in Tejano radio. The new program pairs two powerhouse personalities — veteran broadcaster Jessika Reyna and rising Houston radio star Jessica Jeanz — for a bold, energetic, and culturally rich take on morning radio.

For Reyna, this marks a highly anticipated return to the airwaves. Her storied career spans decades across Tejano, Country, and Smooth Jazz formats, earning her a loyal following and a respected name in Houston broadcasting. “Coming back to radio — especially Tejano — feels like coming home,” Reyna shared. “To share this platform with another strong woman and celebrate our culture and community every morning is a dream.”

Her co-host, Jessica Jeanz, brings a new wave of energy to the mic. Previously heard on Houston Hip Hop station 97.9 THE BOX and Tejano powerhouse KXTN 107.5 in San Antonio, Jeanz is known for her vibrant personality, genuine connection with listeners, and fearless approach to conversation. “We’re representing women, Latinas, and Houston — all in one show,” Jeanz said. “Expect laughs, real talk, and a lot of Tejano flavor.”

Together, the “Double Js” promise mornings full of music, laughter, and community spirit — blending classic Tejano favorites with modern hits, pop culture, and local conversations that keep listeners engaged and entertained.

Backed by a passionate team of local broadcasters, Puro Tejano 106.1 FM continues its mission to revitalize Tejano music and give Houston’s Tejano community a true voice on the airwaves.

“The Double Js Morning Show” airs every weekday from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Puro Tejano 106.1 FM and streams live at purotejanofm.com.
