20 Iconic Boy Bands And Girl Groups You Definitely Forgot About

I like to think of myself as a boy band and girl group connoisseur who was lucky enough to be at the prime preteen age during the sudden burst of acts hitting the music scene in the '90s and early '00s. While I regularly listen to, and catch up on, my favorite girl groups and boy bands, most people have probably moved on from their teenage days.

Whether you were old enough to remember the music of the 1990s and early 2000s or discovered the infectious songs years later, one thing's for sure: it was the golden age of girl groups and boy bands.

From Backstreet Boys, *NSYNC, Destiny's Child, and TLC, there was absolutely no shortage of amazing groups who released bop after bop when we turned on the radio.

But while the majority of us could sing “Wannabe” from memory and personally identify with the Spice Girls or name every member of 98 Degrees, there are a few groups you may have forgotten about over the years — or, quite possibly, never heard of before! And you may not remember all of their names, there's no doubt you probably recognize a song a two.

So to shine some light on lesser-known girl groups and boy bands of years past, scroll on down to take a look to see some of their biggest songs.

Celebrate all of your favorite 90s music on iHeartRadio’s iHeart90s station.
