Ashley Borrero Releases Much-Anticipated Solo Debut EP

Ashley Borrero, the Austin-based Tejano singer and the first-ever winner of the Tejano Idol competition in 2011, has officially launched her much-anticipated solo debut EP, Nostalgia. The highly awaited project is now available on Spotify and all major digital music platforms.

Borrero shared the exciting announcement on social media, expressing her enthusiasm for the release. “I’m thrilled to announce that my long awaited EP has launched on Spotify as well as all your favorite downloading and streaming sites! This album is a love letter to Tejano music, and each song holds a special place and memory in my heart!” she wrote.

The Nostalgia EP is deeply personal for Borrero, and she dedicated it to several important people in her life. “A huge thank you to Mario Ortiz for his AMAZING producer talents and skills and to my parents @josie_borrero8 and @miketuxedo and my wonderful husband @alexhstarr for always supporting me! This is dedicated to my sweet baby boy Hartley, who I was 8 months pregnant with when I recorded half the album! I hope you all enjoy it!” she added.

This debut solo project has been years in the making, with Borrero balancing her family life with her musical aspirations. Known for her captivating voice and commanding stage presence, the former vocalist with Angel Gonzalez Y Vimana now shares her unique sound through a collection of tracks that reflect her passion for Tejano music.

The EP features five tracks, including the lead single “Para Que,” a reimagined version of the 1995 classic from Tejano legend Joel NavaNostalgia not only celebrates Tejano music but also serves as a testament to Borrero’s growth as an artist, showcasing her ability to craft powerful, emotional ballads and lively, rhythmic tunes.
