San Antonio, TX — The launch of the latest Texas Country single from Laura Linda, titled “Honey Boy, Honey Girl,” was a resounding success at a star-studded release party held at 1Watson Rooftop Restaurant and Bar in San Antonio. The exclusive event, dubbed the 24 Karat Country Music Release Party, offered an unforgettable night of music, elegance, and charity, all in support of a cause close to Laura Linda’s heart: the Texas Music Project’s Music Heals Program.
A celebrated figure in Tejano and Texas country music, Laura Linda demonstrated her unwavering commitment to both her art and her community by raising over $5,000 during the event. The funds will benefit the San Antonio Methodist Children’s Hospital’s music therapy program, a key initiative of the Texas Music Project that uses music as a tool for healing.
“Music has the power to heal,” Laura Linda emphasized during a private press conference, underscoring the deeper mission behind the evening’s festivities. In addition to live performances, attendees were treated to an exclusive sneak peek of the music video that accompanies her new single, projected on a striking 20-foot LED screen
The event also featured a special performance by George Mercado, Jr., and was attended by several influential figures, including Texas Representative John Lujan, who declared the day “Texas Music Project Day” in honor of Laura Linda’s dedication. The evening reached its emotional peak when Governor Greg Abbott’s office presented Laura Linda with the prestigious Texas Yellow Rose Award for her outstanding contributions to both music and community.
With its seamless blend of country music, glamour, and philanthropy, the event underscored the transformative role that music plays not only in entertainment but in healing. As the Texas Music Project continues to support communities through initiatives like the Music Heals Program, it is artists like Laura Linda who help drive its mission forward.
