Young Tejano talent Tristan Ramos is recovering after the 12-year-old accordionist and singer underwent emergency brain surgery over the weekend.

Tristan’s father, Jason Ramos, posted the news on the young musician’s Facebook page on Sunday night.

“Hello everyone, this is Tristan’s dad. I just thought I would give everyone an update on what has happen to Tristan’s health in the past few days. He was having several severe headaches and wasn’t himself for a while. After several ER visits, we rushed into immediate brain surgery. With God and all the prayers, along with the best doctors and family, he is now doing well and recovering great. All we ask is please keep Tristan in your prayers as he continues through his road of recovery.”

Tristan released a music video for his second single, “Muevelo” featuring Eddie Jimenez of Da Krazy Pimpz, in October and was planning to release his debut album soon, plans may be on hold for now.
