The nominees for Best Tejano Album at the 2018 Latin Grammy Awards were announced on Thursday (Sept. 20).

It’s a return for the Best Tejano Album category to the Latin Grammy Awards after the category was left out a year ago due to low submissions.

Nominees include late Tejano icon Jimmy Gonzalez Y Grupo Mazz for Porque Todavía Te Quiero. The multiple Grammy winner died of cardiac arrest in a San Antonio hospital on June 6. He was 67.

Michael Salgado is nominated for his album Otras Historias. The two-time Grammy winner last took home the prize for Best Tejano Album in 2016.

Grupo Alamo received their second straight nomination in the Best Tejano Album category with Próximo Nivel. The band, who are celebrating 25 years in the industry, were nominated for their previous album, Seguimos Sonando, in 2014.

Roger Velasquez & The Latin Legendz received a nomination for Tex Mex Funk, which features collaborations with actor and singer Jesse Borrego. It’s the second Latin Grammy nomination for Velasquez.

Proyecto Insomnio, a cumbia band from Mexico, are nominated for their debut album Dolce Inferno.

The full list of nominees is now available on the Latin Grammy Awards’ official website.

The 19th annual Latin Grammy Awards will air on Univision at 8:00 p.m. ET from Las Vegas, Nevada on November 15, 2018.
