Corpus Christi, Texas – CHR Records CEO and President Rick Garcia is recovering in a Corpus Christ hospital after the Tejano ROOTS Hall of Famer had emergency surgery on Saturday, November 30.

In a statement to Tejano Nation, CHR Records revealed that Garcia was rushed to the emergency room with a high fever and chills. After a thorough examination, it was determined he was in sepsis and required immediate surgery for gallbladder removal. He was transferred to a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, where complications during the laparoscopic procedure necessitated a more invasive surgery. Thankfully, the surgery was successful, and Garcia is currently recovering well. He remains hospitalized but is expected to be released soon to continue his recovery at home.

“We ask for prayers for a speedy recovery and time for Rick to heal. This will be a long process but the doctors are confident that he will have a full recovery,” said the statement.
