SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Rising Tejano star Jenny B, affectionately known as “La Tejana Barbie,” hosted a heartwarming Thanksgiving Joy from Tejanos Unidos Food Drive and Concert at Jaime’s Place in San Antonio, Texas, on Saturday, November 23, 2024. The event, co-hosted by Thrive Entertainment, was a resounding success, featuring performances from emerging Tejano talents such as Eric LeeAlicia C, and Rev Ray.

Adding to the star-studded lineup, actress Vanessa Vasquez, known for her role in the Latin romantic comedy film “Say A Little Prayer,” which premiered in select theaters this past weekend, made a special appearance.

Jenny B, who released her debut album Mujer Sensual earlier this year, spearheaded the initiative, raising enough food and monetary donations to provide 4200 meals for San Antonio families. The “Pobre Tonto” singer expressed her gratitude and excitement in a heartfelt social media video, saying, “Dropping off all the goods that we collected this weekend… between food goods that we collected along with cash donations and those who donated through the link, easily like $650 worth of food. You guys, yes, we did that because of all of you caring for la gente. We were able to pull it off. Shout out to Jaime’s Place for allowing us to throw this amazing event, Thrive Entertainment, couldn’t have done it without you guys. This was a success. Thank you so much, you made my year. I love you!”
