Stefani Montiel, Jay Perez Lead Nominees for 44th Annual TMAs

The biggest night in Tejano music is just around the corner. On Friday, November 22, 2024, the 44th annual Tejano Music Awards will take place at the Boeing Center at Tech Port in San Antonio, Texas. The event will honor the best artists, songs, albums, and more in the genre that blends Mexican and American musical influences. The Top 5 nominees in each category were announced today and the competition is fierce.

Stefani Montiel and Jay Perez lead all nominees with four nominations each. Stefani earned nominations for Female Vocalist of the Year, Tejano Album of the Year for “Mis Favoritas, Vol. 1”, Song of the Year with her rendition of “Ven Devorame Otra Vez”, and Collaboration of the Year with “Cuando Me De La Gana” with Cezar Omar. Jay received nominations for Male Vocalist of the Year, Tejano Album of the Year for “El Patron”, and “Vino Maldito” featuring David Lee Garza was nominated for Song of the Year and Collaboration of the Year.

Elida Reyna, who recently announced her Farewell Tour, received three nominations, including Female Vocalist of the Year, Tejano Album of the Year for “Herencia De Una Reyna”, and Collaboration of the Year for “Es Contigo” with James Arreola of Los Palominos.

Several artists received two nominations each including David Lee Garza, Patsy TorresGary Hobbs, James Arreola, and Lucky Joe.
