San Antonio’s rising Tejano star, Jenny B, has unveiled her latest single “Pobre Tonto” from her debut Tejano album “Mujer Sensual.” In an exclusive interview with Tejano Nation Radio host Romeo, Jenny B shared insights into her new track and the journey behind its creation.

“Pobre Tonto,” penned by legendary songwriter Beto Ramon, is finally getting the recognition it deserves, thanks to the efforts of promoter Mayra Dee. Jenny B expressed her pride in the song, saying, “I’m so proud of that song. It’s so funny because I literally just get with Beto and I’m like, ‘Hey, listen, I want a song that’s like this, this, and that.’ And it’s so weird. He’s able to transform himself spiritually into a woman to where he’s able to say what I want to say.”

The track was produced by Latin Grammy winner Mariano Herrera at the renowned Legends Sound Studios at Freddie Records in Corpus Christi, Texas. Jenny B described the experience as a dream come true, “That song was really fun to make. Working at Freddie Records was iconic. This is my very first album, and to even step foot in that studio was a dream come true.”

Jenny B also shared her thoughts on creating her debut album, “Mujer Sensual.” She admitted that the process was daunting, especially coming from a background of releasing singles and an EP. “I’ve never done an album. This is my very first album. I’ve done singles, and I’ve done an EP, but to do a whole album honestly was quite scary for me,” she said. “I want people to be like, ‘Who’s Jenny B? What is Jenny B?’ And I feel like the album explains exactly everything from how I love as a mujer sensual or as a woman myself, and how I hate it and how I can fight. It’s pretty much everything on there, my attitude, I mean, everything is covered on that album, from the beginning to end.”

Jenny B expressed her gratitude for working with talented individuals like Mariano Herrera, Hugo Guerrero, and El Dusty. “I’m so blessed to be able to work with legends, being my first album. I’m so proud of our work because I honestly would have never sounded as good as it did without the instruments, production, and mixing from Hugo, Mariano, and Dusty.”

“Pobre Tonto” is now available on all digital music platforms. Be sure to check out Jenny B’s debut album “Mujer Sensual” and experience the powerful and passionate voice of this rising Tejano star.
