Tejano country singer Krystal Diaz premiered the official music video for her song “Tequila Does,” a remake of Miranda Lambert‘s 2019 hit. The Ryan Bazan-directed video, filmed at the Texas Selfie Museum in San Antonio, showcases Krystal’s son Gabriel, who is following in his mother’s footsteps as a performer.
Krystal, who will celebrate her 30th anniversary as a performing artist in 2024 has been entertaining on stage since she was two years old and waited for Gabriel to get a bit older before introducing him to the world of music and dance. “As mentors, it is important to leave a legacy imprinted in the lives of our youth,” she commented. “Showcasing my young star hopes to show others the beauty of educating little ones at a young age.”
“Tequila Does,” produced by David L. Garza, was released during the Rodeo season, and Krystal said it was fun to see so many people enjoying Rodeo San Antonio while listening to her song. “It’s catchy, fun, and a great song to dance to,” she said. “This Tejano country fusion was a lot of fun to record, making it my own.”
Krystal is also an artistic director and dance instructor at Danzavida De San Antonio Dance Company, where she teaches ballet folklorico, Spanish flamenco, Latin dance, ballroom, country, and Tejano. She is currently working on a Christmas single to be released this holiday season.
