SAN ANTONIO, TX — The children of late Tejano legend Emilio Navaira and his iconic brother Raulito Navaira celebrated the 30th anniversary of the classic album Southern Exposure during an exclusive performance at the third annual Premios Tejano Mundial in San Antonio, Texas on Sunday night (March 5).
Emilio IV, Diego, Destiny, and Rigo Navaira paid tribute to 30 years of the album released in the summer of 1993 and featured classic tunes like “Ya No Me Pones Atencion,” “Suficiente Amor,” and others. The album reached the Top 10 of the Billboard Latin 50 albums chart.
“This was something so special for us to do together,“ said Emilio IV.
This was the first time the offspring of Emilio and Raulito Navaira performed together on one stage since the passing of Emilio.

“It felt like we were kids again,” laughed Diego.
“Music is what we did and when it’s together it’s just that much more fun” added Destiny.
The Navaira dynasty continues with Emilio IV and Diego with their band The Last Bandoleros here in the states and Destiny and Rigo, now out of Monterrey internationally, just like their fathers did in their day.
“We have so much respect for what we got to grow up in, and it just makes us being together singing their music, that much more magical,” added Rigo.
