Monterrey, Nevo León, Mex. -– Destiny Navaira has been nominated for Best Tejano Album for the 23rd Annual Latin Grammy Awards scheduled for November 17, 2022, in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Navaira’s sophomore album, Dime Cómo Se Siente featured multiple singles including “Yo Te Daba Todo” featuring José Adán Esparza of Bronco, “Me Da Gusto,” “Dime Cómo Se Siente,” and “Vacía.”
“The goal of this album was to feature the many facets of my sound,” said Navaira. “We wanted to keep our core of Tejano but also include sounds from other genres that inspire us.”

Navaira, along with her brother Rigo Navaira, worked alongside UNIMUSIK and Rudy Olivares of Blue Light Studios to produce this project in early 2021.
“This album is not only one of my favorite projects because of the sounds but because of the hope it gave my team and I during a time the world needed it,” added Navaira. “I wanted to make sure it moved people and made the genre shine.”
As a native of San Antonio, the Tejano Capital of the World, Navaira has been surrounded by musicians including her father, Raulito Navaira, and late uncle Emilio Navaira.

“It is an honor to be nominated for the Latin Grammys,” said Navaira. “This is proof that when you believe in something and work tirelessly while sticking to your roots, anything is possible.”
The 23rd annual Latin GRAMMYs will return to Las Vegas at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino on Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022. The telecast will air live on Univision beginning at 8 p.m. ET/PT (7 p.m. Central). Preceding the telecast is the Latin GRAMMY Premiere ceremony, a long-established afternoon full of unforgettable performances and heartfelt acceptance speeches, where the winners in most categories will be announced.
