DJ Kaneshared an update two weeks after he and his wife wereinvolved in a multi-car accident on a Texas highwayas they traveled to Corpus Christi on December 2 that led to the couple being hospitalized.
In the statement shared onDJ Kane’s official Facebook page, he said in part, “I just wanna say wow to everyone who has reached out to us, all the prayers and messages mean the world to me. The love and prayers helped me so much. I was in tears reading some of the messages…This was one scary, scary accident, could’ve lost my life for someone else’s mistake, obviously, it wasn’t our time, God still has plans and I have more work to do here, my job’s not finished.”
The singer didn’t elaborate on the extent of any injuries but plans to share another update soon.
“Continue praying for us through this healing process,” he said. “I’ll be going live soon and explain not just the accident but other things that are going on in my life that I wanna be open about.”
DJ Kane rose to fame as the original lead vocalist of Latin Grammy-winning group Kumbia Kings from 1999-2003, and a member of Kumbia All-Starz from 2008-2010. He launched a successful solo career releasing multiple hit albums. He currently continues to tour Latin America and the United States with Cruz Martinez-led Kumbia Kings.
