El Gallo Dez, the recipient of the New Artist of the Year award at the 4th annual Premios Tejano Mundial, has unveiled his eagerly anticipated debut album. This album, masterfully produced by the legendary Shelly Lares, serves as a testament to his extraordinary talent and versatility.

The self-titled album comprises 10 tracks, each showcasing El Gallo Dez’s impressive vocal range and unique musical style. From the progressive ranchera “Rogando Por Tu Amor” to the lively cumbia “Güera Linda,” the album is a musical journey that invites you to dance, sing, and experience the magic of love.

Notably, the album features a collaboration with music legend Sunny Ozuna and Mike Torres III, bandleader of the next-generation Chicano band La 45. This significant highlight in El Gallo Dez’s musical journey is a reimagined version of “Ven Que Te Quiero”.

“We started getting into the studio and it turned into this awesome masterpiece and to even have Sunny agree to do this — I’m still in disbelief to have a legend like him on the track is crazy and then, of course, Shelly, another big iconic name as a producer on it is unbelievable.”

El Gallo Dez’s music pays homage to Tejano music and its deep roots in Música Mexicana. With a diverse selection of songs spanning cumbia, grupero, ranchera, and corrido tumbado styles, this album resonates with a broad audience, appealing to fans of all ages and backgrounds.

“It’s a little bit of everything,” said El Gallo Dez. “It shows off a lot of my versatlity, just a little bit, because we have a lot up our sleeve that we want to show off later, but we wanted to give everyone a little taste of my Latin side. Everything is pretty much original. It’s originally written by Shelly and myself and produced orginally by Shelly.”

The album is now available on all digital platforms. The physical CD is available online at shellylares.online. Don’t miss the chance to own a copy of one of the standout albums of the year.

El Gallo Dez has arrived, poised to captivate your heart with his musical prowess and leave a lasting imprint. As we celebrate his achievements and look forward to his bright future, let’s also take a moment to appreciate the rich heritage and vibrant diversity of Tejano music.
