Destiny Navaira, a Latin Grammy nominated artist and two-time TTMA Female Vocalist of the Year, announced her mentorship program “Project Destiny,” which she will hold this upcoming year at her alma mater Dillard McCollum High School in San Antonio, Texas.

“This mentorship program is something I’ve always wanted to do. We’re starting with the senior girls and hopefully I’ll be able to grow the program from there,” said Destiny.

Destiny graduated from McCollum as well as almost all of the Navaira family including her father Raulito Navaira, a renowned Tejano singer and musician.

“I’m so excited to connect the younger generation with my music as well as serve as a network for these young people and their futures,” she added.

Project Destiny will be starting January 2024 and running through the school year. “I am so excited to finally be able to make another dream I have come true. Project Destiny will also be the founding year of the Los Navaira Scholarship. McCollum holds such a special place in all of my family’s hearts and it feels great to be giving back,” Destiny said.

The mentorship program will focus on empowering young women to pursue their passions and goals, as well as providing them with guidance and support. Destiny will also share her experiences and insights as a successful artist in the music industry.

Destiny is known for her versatile and powerful voice. She has released three albums, La PreferidaDime Como Se Siente, and Las Letras de mi Padre, which have earned her multiple awards and nominations. She is also the niece of the late Tejano legend Emilio Navaira.

Destiny hopes that her mentorship program will inspire and motivate the next generation of leaders and artists.
