The inaugural Dallas Tejano Festival scheduled for September 9-11 has been postponed over the potential for inclement weather expected for the area.
Festival organizers made the official announcement over a week before the scheduled event. “Due to inclement weather for the next two weeks around the venue, we will have to postpone this event until the Summer of 2023,” said the statement. “We chose this time of the year to minimize any potential inclement weather issues. This decision was made to ensure the safety of our guests and bands. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
The three-day outdoor event was to take place at the Skyline Ranch Event Center with some of the biggest stars in Tejano music including Little Joe Y La Familia, Los Palominos, David Lee Garza Y Los Musicales, Jay Perez, Los Desperadoz, and more.
Tickets purchased for the Dallas Tejano Festival will be accepted for the new date that will be announced soon. For refunds, ticketholders may request them through the Eventbrite website/app. For any questions, email DallasTejanoFestival@gmail.com.
