TMA plans TV show focused on youth, new Tejano artists & music

The Texas Talent Musicians Association, producers of the Tejano Music Awards, plan to launch a television show focused on the next generation of Tejano music.

According to a statement released today, TTMA is “announcing new initiatives focused on youth, new Tejano artists, and new Tejano music, including the launch of a new television show – TMA TV.”

“We are building the future of Tejano music,” said Robert Arrellano, President of TTMA, in the statement.

The official announcement of TMA TV will take place during a press conference at Mi Tierra restaurant on Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at 9:00 a.m. to “discuss new initiatives geared at developing new Tejano artist and music with special emphasis on youth and launching new careers.”

According to a Facebook page set up for TMA TV, it describes the new television show will air Saturday nights on FOX 29 in San Antonio, Texas. A website, tejanomusicawardstv.com, shared further details on the show, “Tune in for artist performances, interviews, and all related Tejano content.”
