Inspiring and motivating women is the primary goal of theTejanas Unidas En Cristomusical concept, which through 25 incredible voices, seeks to share an inspirational message that is “Aqui Estas,” released today (Sept. 20).

Tejanas Unidas En Cristo is a proposal that God put in the heart and mind of Rio Grande Valley singerGenyva Salas Monjaras, who decided to combine 25 female voices of the Tejano music industry to bring life the beautiful Christian song of inspiration and hope.

“Aqui Estas” is a Spanish version of the Christian worship song “Way Maker” and was recorded in the famous Legends Sound Studios at Freddie Records in Corpus Christi, Texas. The voices of Genyva,Shelly Lares,Patsy Torres,Margarita Canela,Di Marie,Demmi Garcia,Cortney,Marisela Hernandez,Crystal Torres,Anjelique,Rebecca Valadez,Machy De La Garza,Cristina Salinas,Magali Delarosa,Krystalina Vallejo,Vee González,Alyssa Torres,Monica Saldivar,Savannah Votion,Perla Quintanilla,Sarah Monique,Anikka Garza,Stephanie Bergara,Aisha Aparicio, andChristine Philip, all came together to achieve this historic female collaboration.

The project has been recognized by Texas GovernorGreg Abbottand the house of Texas State Representatives through a proclamation signed in July that said:

“During the height of the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic, Elsa native Genyva Salas Monjaras organized a group to promote unity and love during a time of uncertainty. In doing so, she brought together 25 immensely talented female vocalists from all across the Lonestar State and formed the collaboration known as Tejanas Unidas En Cristo.

Despite the challenges of the pandemic, Tejanas Unidas En Cristo united at Freddie Records in Corpus Christi and recorded “Aqui Estas”, a song about faith and fellowship. In times of great uncertainty, music can bring people together, comfort those in need, and bring about renewed hope and faith. The members of Tejanas Unidas En Cristo have done their part to touch the hearts of their fellow Texans, and their success highlights the best of the Lonestar State.”

“Aqui Estas” will be supported by a beautiful visual with an official music video and a passionate documentary to be released soon that brings together 25 Tejanas with a purpose, a vision, and a God.

Music can provide great healing and comfort in difficult times and members of Tejanas Unidas En Cristo radiate the message of unity and strength. Each of the ladies shares profound testimonies and demonstrates a strong commitment to lifting the spirits of people across the Lone Star State and the world! A goal that is paramount in these pandemic times as they live to a world level and in which humanity has lost hope. This is the beginning of what is planned to be a great project as Tejanas Unidas En Cristo hopes to record a full Christian album, looking to continue to uplift Tejanas but also open doors for everyone.

“Aqui Estas” from Tejanas Unidas En Cristo is available to stream or download on all digital platforms.
