Las Leyendas release ultimate tribute album to Ramón Ayala

Las Leyendas(The Legends) released the ultimate tribute album for “El Rey del Acordeón”Ramón Ayalaon Sept. 20. Las Leyendas is made up of five legendary singers includingFreddie Martinez,Sunny Ozuna,Augustin Ramirez,Joe BravoandCarlos Guzman.

The album, “Homenaje a Ramón Ayala,” contains 16 new recordings of classic Ayala songs dedicated to the music and career of the music icon.

The first single released from the album is “Damelo” featuring vocals from Martinez and Ramirez.

Ayala is a master accordionist, vocalist, and songwriter with a career that spans over 40 years and is one of the founders of modern Norteño music. He has won and has been nominated for several Grammy awards. In 2001, Ayala was awarded an American Grammy award for the album “En Vivo… El Hombre Y Su Música.” He has also been awarded two Latin Grammy awards for the albums “Quémame Los Ojos” and “El Numero Cien”.
