Shelly Lares shares update and title for highly-anticipated new album

Shelly Lares is currently in the studio adding the final songs to her highly-anticipated new album and “Little Miss TNT” shared the latest update on the disc via social media on Tuesday.

The star said she’s taking time off from the road in January and heading to the studio to finish up her new album.

“I actually just have three songs to do vocals on,” she said. “I’m going to recut a couple of the songs and I added a song number 11, which is something I really wanted to do because this song really, really means a lot to me. So, I hope you guys will enjoy it.”

Lares added that she has been under the weather recently with sinusitis, but will focus on finishing up the album this month and shared the album’s title.

“This month we finish up mix and mastering and shooting the cover for the new CD called ‘Obra De Amor’, which is ‘Labor of Love’ and that it definitely has been,” she said.

The Tejano icon, who just celebrated her 36th year in the industry, has been working on this album for a couple of years. It will be the first album released from Lares since the death of her father, Fred Lares, in 2016.

She already released many hit singles from the album including “Devuélveme El Corazón”, “Trato Y Trato”, and “Mi Moreno”.

“Thank you guys so much for all the love support and 2019 is going to be a great one for all of us,” she said. “Get ready to get shell shocked!”
